Why Did You Want to
Become a Dentist?
Dr. Gadalla ultimately decided to pursue dentistry in order to fulfill her mother’s dream. Her mother initially wanted to become a dentist, but after her mother died during her senior year of high school, she decided to attend economics school to stay closer to home and support her family. Years later, her dream was passed onto Dr. Gadalla, who shares her mother’s passion for service and helping people. She says it’s the best gift her mother ever gave her!
Education
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Gadalla’s dental education began in her native Libya at Garyounis University. After graduating and practicing for three years, she made her way to the United States and completed a fellowship at the University of Florida, which was followed by a residency at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry and St. John Hospital. This resulted in Dr. Gadalla obtaining her periodontist certification, and she continues to expand her knowledge and refine her skills to this day by maintaining an active membership in the American Academy of Periodontology.

What Do You Like to Do?
At home, Dr. Gadalla is the proud mother of four children who keep her very busy. She loves cooking for them and attending their various activities, but when she has some free time, she likes to dedicate it to interior decorating or playing volleyball.
